What were the roads looking like in lockdown 2.0?
Obviously, with lockdown we expected to see fluctuations in the traffic on the road; it’s why we keep a close eye on things.
So what was the picture?
At the beginning of the month the weekly average was 95% of normal traffic which then reduced down to 76.23% in the second week and then for the third week it was 77%, we’re expecting things to increase now even with the new tier systems in place.
The lowest the traffic has ever been in the month is 74% so clearly the roads were still in use by commuters, families and obviously hauliers who’ve continued to deliver up and down the country.
We’ll be keeping an eye on traffic in December to see how the tiers that differ across the country impact on how busy (or not) our roads are.
