Rounding up 2021

Like every business last year was full of highs and lows for DrivenMedia. But because we are a cheerful bunch we’ll mostly shout about the highs!
Let’s kick off with WHY we’ve written this blog (no star jumps will be mentioned!)
“I’ve just been compiling all the data we collected over 2021, some of our results are incredible. It’s something we do every year as it can be easy to forget how quickly Truck Advertising can rack up millions of impacts for our clients” says Ed, our founder.
It was a year that did make us concerned with lockdowns and times when the nation could’ve easily gone back into lockdown. But we kept our confidence high because we know what we offer works; truck advertising is a great OOH option.
Traffic is always a question, in a roundabout way, so it was interesting watching the stats (thanks to Roy!). Some of the changes were radical like the tube and trains seeing a huge drop off in usage during 2021 and the roads being busier than ever especially in summer when we all hit the UK coastlines. The latest data shows that 2021’s traffic was on average 17.58% more than pre-pandemic. So yes people WILL see your advert each time it’s on the road (about 55,000 people each day to be more precise!).

- Our fleet
The fleet of advertisers grew by 60% in 2021 which was brilliant news. Advertisers were confident spending their marketing budget on truck advertising, and we attracted brands from a range of industries.
- The data
Part of our guarantee when you advertise with DrivenMedia is that your campaign is fully tracked; so when we say we’ll deliver 20 hours of drive time between set hours we’ll share that with you from our GPS data.
This year our fleet has been on the road for a total of 53,360 hours and covered 2,056,644 miles nationally. That means our advertisers have been seen by 387,600,000 pairs of eyes.

- Our achievements
2021 saw some pretty huge achievements for DrivenMedia including:
We bought out our investors so now Ed is the sole owner of DrivenMedia
We’ve got our first sole occupancy office as a new HQ for the DrivenMedia team
We launched 54 new adverts onto the road
We achieved the stunt that The Athletic wanted for the England team bus during the EURO tournament.
We increased our own advertising fleet because we know it works.

-
- Exceeding our impact
When your advert gets on the road we will predict how many people will see you campaign*; as your truck does its thing we’ll produce a weekly tracking report which will provide a more accurate figure based on the drive time. We’ve exceeded expectations for the reach (*) by on average 13% with one client getting a whooping 50% more than we predicted.
So our round up is thanks for a great year but we’re hoping for an even better year this year!
